초록
본 연구는 시민활동가로서 세월호 참사 유가족을 돌보며 겪어야 했던 경험과 그로 인한 간접외상이 삶에 미친 영향, 또 이후 그 경험이 삶에 어떠한 의미를 재구성하였는지에 대해서 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 내러티브 탐구방법으로 연구를 진행했다. 연구자이자 연구 참여자인 나는 세월호유가족 돌봄 과정을 담은 기록일지, 일기, 기고문 등을 참고하여 나의 경험을 돌아보며 본 연구를하였다. 그 결과, 시민활동가로서 세월호 참사 유가족을 돌보며 겪었던 경험과 간접외상, 그리고 그경험을 돌아보며 얻은 분석과 해석의 결과를 구체화하여 형성된 의미를 바탕으로 <절망의 한 가운데>, <흐릿해진 삶과 죽음의 경계>, <죽음을 거쳐 다시 만난 나>라는 세 가지의 주제를 도출하였다.
논의에서는 본 연구결과의 주요결과에 대한 논의, 추후 연구 등에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.
This study attempted to explore the experiences that I had to go through while caring for the bereaved families of the Ferry Sewol disaster as a citizen activist, the impact of indirect trauma on life, and what the meaning of those experiences has been reconstructed. To this end, research was conducted with a narrative inquiry method. As a researcher and research participant, I did this study by looking back on my experiences by referring to a record journal, diary, and contribution containing the process of caring for the bereaved families in Ferry Sewol. As a result, based on the experiences I had while caring for the bereaved families of the Ferry Sewol disaster as a citizen activist, the indirect trauma, and the results of the analysis and interpretation obtained by looking back on the experiences, three themes were derived: "In the middle of despair", "The boundary between blurred life and death", and "Me who met again through death". In the discussion, discussions on the main results of this study and suggestions for further research were presented.
