This study examined moderated mediating effects of maternal attachment through disabilityacceptance between the insecure adult attachment and the psychological well-being of mothersof children with neurodevelopmental disorders. The results are as follows. First, there havebeen significant mediating effects of disability acceptance in the effects of mothers¡¯ insecureadult attachment on their psychological well-being. Second, there have been significantmoderated mediation effects in the relationships of disability acceptance and psychologicalwell-being. Third, there have been significant moderated mediating effects of maternalattachment through disability acceptance in effects of insecure adult attachment on interpersonalpsychological well-being. The results of this study show the need for intervention through theimprovement of disability acceptance as mediating variables and maternal attachment asmoderating variables for stable psychological well-being.
