This meta-analysis study pointed to evaluate the effectiveness of anger-control groupcounseling of elementary school students. A total of 69 studies published from 2000 to 2023were selected. The results are as in the following: First, a total of 69 studies effect sizes werecomputed and the overall effect size of the programs was 0.586, showing a medium effect size. Second, regarding the effect size according to mediation variables including program content,utilizing media, participant characteristics, various parameters of group operation. The resultshow programs were most effective when peer relation improvement group counseling wasused with the narrative therapy, group members were 1~2grade, ranging from 9 to 15 persons,for 13 over sessions, 2times a week from 5 to 8 weeks period, not class but non-class. Basedon these results, implications for future research and program practice were discussed.
