This study aimed to empirically examine the impact of problematic pornography use oninterpersonal issues and the mediating role of sexual objectification, as well as the moderatingeffects of sexism. To do so, a total of 540 adult males completed measures of problematicpornography use, interpersonal relationship patterns, sexual objectification perpetration, andsexism. The results revealed a significant mediating effect of sexual objectification, and amoderating effect of sexism on the relationship between sexual objectification and interpersonalissues. This confirmed the moderated mediating effect of sexual objectification and benevolentsexism on the impact of problematic pornography use on interpersonal issues. Finally,implications, limitations, and recommendations for future research were discussed in this study.
