This study attempted to investigate the effect of Participation in continuous Forest HealingProgram in urban forests on emotional control and health promotion behavior of middle-agedadults. The study was conducted on 57 people, and the experimental group (30 people)conducted actual forest healing activities every session in the forest healing education programfor 12 weeks, and non-experimental group(27 people) who did not participate in the programlived daily life. The contents of the program were meditation walks, five senses utilizationemotional experience, and internal experiences to enhance emotional experiences in the forest. As a result of the study, First, those who participated in the forest healing program showedstatistically significant differences and no difference on control group in the degree of emotionalregulation and health promotion behavior after the program. Second, the experimental groupparticipating in the forest healing program had a significantly higher degree of emotional controlafter the program than the control group, and health promotion behavior was also significantlyhigher. In conclusion, it was found that periodic forest healing activities in urban forests wereeffective in enhancing emotional control and health promotion behavior by providing stableemotional experiences and rest to middle-aged adults.
