초록
이 연구는 어둠의 성격으로 나타나게 되는 분노와 외로움과의 관계를 공감의 매개를 통해 확인하여어둠의 성격의 대인 관계적 특성을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 전국 성인 남성 1,000명을 대상으로어둠의 성격 4요소, 공감, 외로움, 분노를 측정하여 어둠의 성격과 공감의 하위요인에 따라 차별적으로분석하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 마키아벨리즘, 자기애적 성격, 정신병질적 성격은 정서적 공감의 하위요인인 개인적 고통을 통해 외로움과 분노로, 공감적 관심을 통해 외로움으로 이어지는 경로가 유의하였다. 둘째, 자기애적 성격과 정신병질 성격은 인지적 공감의 하위요인인 조망수용을 통해 외로움과분노로 이어지는 경로가 유의하였다. 어둠의 성격의 특성에 따라 공감적 반응과 정서적 반응이 다르게나타날 수 있다는 것이다. 이는 어둠의 성격으로 나타나는 외로움과 분노에 대하여 공감에 초점을둔 개입이 유용할 수 있음을 시사한다.
This study tried to explore the interpersonal characteristics of a dark personality by confirmingthe relationship between anger and loneliness, which appears in a dark personality, throughempathy. For this purpose, 1000 adult males in the nationwide region were assessed by darktetrad, empathy, loneliness, and anger and analyzed. Results are as follows, First, the pathsleading to loneliness and anger t hrough personal distress, which is a sub-factor of emotionalempathy, were significant for Machiavellianism, narcissistic personality, and psychoticpersonality. Also, the path leading to loneliness through empathic concern, a sub-factor ofaffective empathy, was significant. Second, the paths leading to loneliness and anger throughperspective taking, which is a sub-factor of cognitive empathy, were significant for narcissisticpersonality and psychotic personality. Based on these results, it was confirmed that empathicresponses may appear differently depending on the characteristics of each dark personality. Thissuggests that empathy-focused interventions can be useful to decrease the loneliness and angermanifested by the dark personality.
