마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.
This study aimed to examine the moderated mediation effect of perceived social supportthrough maladaptive self-focused attention on the association between covert narcissism andsocial anxiety. Data from 352 college students in South Korea were analyzed by usingmoderated mediation analysis. The results are as follows: First, maladaptive self-focusedattention had partial mediation effects in the pathway from covert narcissism to social anxiety.
Second, a professors’ support and friends’ support of perceived social support had moderationeffects in the pathway from maladaptive self-focused attention to social anxiety. Third, aprofessors’ support of perceived social support had moderated mediation effects throughmaladaptive self-focused attention in the relationship between covert narcissism and socialanxiety. Finally, the significance and limitations of this study and suggestions for future researchwere discussed.
