This study developed a seeking safety group program to manage the indirect traumaexperienced by the COVID-19 response staff and verified its effectiveness. We developed an eight-session group program divided into three levels. The program targeted 15 COVID-19response staff based in D City. Mental health problems(depression, anxiety, post-traumaticstress), resilience, and indirect trauma management levels were assessed at three differentpoints. Additionally, its qualitative effectiveness was confirmed by analyzing the internalexperience reports of every session. Data collected from 11 participants were used for the finalanalysis. Friedman¡¯s test was used to determine any changes in assessed indexes. Post-hoc test was conducted using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. Consequently, the participants were able tosignificantly alleviate their mental health problems after the program.
