This study analyzed the trends of research papers related to supervision in early childhood education from 1988 to June 2021. Data were divided into general research trends of early childhood supervision (year class, early childhood education area, supervision method) and research methods and research results of early childhood supervision research type, research subject, data collection method, data analysis method, research result). After that, it was analyzed by frequency and percentage. As result, research related to early childhood supervision increased rapidly after the 3rd period (2000-2009). Among early childhood education fields, early childhood teacher education and self-directed supervision field (autonomous supervision) were the most studied methods for early childhood education. appeared to be second, among the research types of early childhood supervision, quantitative research and qualitative research were the mainstream, and the most research subjects were early childhood teachers. Data collection methods and data analysis were most frequently used in the order of qualitative research, descriptive statistics, difference verification, and literature analysis. The significance of this study is that it suggests the direction of future research related to early childhood supervision by comprehensively analyzing the actual conditions and trends of early childhood supervision-related research.
