The purpose of this conceptual study is to suggest an acceptance intervention model in counseling relationship through a literature review. Although acceptance has been considered as a crucial predictor of individuals¡¯ mental health and adjustment, studies primarily have focused on self-acceptance as individuals¡¯ inner phenomenon rather than acceptance interventions. In that sense, this study developed an acceptance intervention model which describes principles and processes of the intervention. Specifically, the model includes the status of a client and a counselor, the characteristics and target, and a client¡¯s perception of the intervention. Based on this model, implications for counseling practice and education were discussed.
