<요 약>
본 연구의 목적은 공군사관생도의 투지, 소명수행, 그리고 정신건강 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 또한, 투지와 정신건강과의 관계에서 소명수행의 매개효과를 확인하는 것이다. 공군사관생도 227명을 대상으로 설문자료를 수집하였고 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 측정 변인들의 기술 통계치, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석을 실시하였다. 또한, 투지와 정신건강의 관계에서 소명수행의 매개효과를 확인하기 위하여 중다회귀분석과 SPSS PROCESS Macro를 활용한 부트스트랩을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 투지는 정신건강, 소명수행과 정적인 관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 투지는 정신건강의 하위요인들 모두와도 정적인 관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 소명수행은 정신건강과 정적인 관계를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 소명수행이 투지와 정신건강과의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연구의 시사점, 제한점 및 향후 연구 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

<Abstract>
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among Grit, Living a Calling, and Mental health of ROK Air force Academy(KAFA) cadet. Also, the mediating effect of Living a Calling on the relationship between Grit and Mental health was examined. Survey data from 227 cadets in KAFA were analyzed with descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression and SPSS PROCESS Macro for bootstrapping. Results are as follows. First, Grit correlated positively with Mental health and Living a Calling. Second, Living a calling correlated positively with Mental health. Third, Living a Calling was found to partially mediate the relationship between Grit and Mental health. Implications, limitations, and suggestions for future research were also discussed.
