<Abstract>


 The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of movie-utilized group counseling for youth in crisis on the improvement of school resilience and self-esteem. For this purpose, 10 maladjusted students in B high school located in the city of K were assigned to each of 5 students as an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group conducted the program eight times, for 120 minutes once a week, and the control group did not carry out the program. Pre & post-inspection were conducted on both groups in order to verify their effectiveness. SPSS 22.0 was used to analyze the data in this study, and for comparison of experimental and control two groups, the analysis was conducted through the verification of Mann - Whitney U test and Wilcoxen Matched Pairs Signed-Rank Test as a nonparametric statistical method. The results of this study showed that group counseling using movies had a significant effect on improving school adaptation flexibility and self-esteem for youths in crisis. These results are meaningful in terms of the positive effect of film-mediated collective counseling as a medium of psychological support for involuntary crisis youths.
