<요  약>

본 연구의 목적은 청각장애 유형에 따른 자아존중감, 사회성, 대인관계, 상담 활동에 대한 차이를

알아보기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구, 경북. 경남, 대전 지역에 거주 하는 20

세 이상의 청각장애인 남·여 118명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청각

장애인의 총 자아존중감에는 청각장애 유형에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 없지만, 지도력과 인기에는

구화 사용 청각장애인이 더 높은 지도력과 인기 수준을 가졌다. 둘째, 청각장애 유형에 따라 청각장

애인의 총 사회성에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있으며 구화만 사용 청각장애인이 더 높은 사회성

수준을 가졌다. 셋째, 동정 수용적 성향에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있으며 구화만 사용하는 청각

장애인이 더 높은 동정 수용적 성향을 가졌다. 마지막으로 청각장애 유형에 따른 청각장애인의 상담

받을 희망에 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없이 문제 해결을 위해 청각장애인은 모두 상담받기를 원하

는 것으로 나타났다.

<Abstract>

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in self-esteem, sociality, personal

relationship, and attitude to counseling among the groups of the hearing impaired person using

different communication methods. A total of 118 male and female hearing-impaired people,

over 20 years old, in Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam and Daejeon participated in the study.

The results of the study were as follows. First, there was no remarkable statistical difference in

overall self-esteem depending on Groups of the Handicapped with Hearing Impairment.

However, in terms of leadership and popularity as sub factors of self-esteem, the

hearing-impaired communicating only in spoken language had more ability and higher level of

leadership and popularity than the others using only sign language. Second, the result of

statistic showed that Groups of the Handicapped with Hearing Impairment only in spoken

language achieved higher level of sociality than using only sign language. Third, also

hearing-impaired using only spoken language showed higher sympathy-acceptive tendency than

using only sign language. Lastly, regardless of Groups of the Handicapped with Hearing

Impairment, all of subjects answered that they need counseling to solve their problems.
