<요  약>

본 연구는 베이비붐 세대의 노후준비와 행복감의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 매개효과를 살펴보고자

하였으며, B광역시와 K도에 소재한 직장인과 은퇴자, 자영업자를 중심으로 1955년생부터 1963년생

인 베이비붐 세대 340명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 의하면, 첫째, 베이비붐

세대의 노후준비, 사회적 자본, 행복감 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 모든 하위변인에서 정적상관

이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 베이비붐 세대의 노후준비와 행복감의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 부

분매개효과가 확인되었다. 즉, 베이비붐 세대의 노후준비에서 행복감으로 가는 직접경로와 노후준비

가 사회적 자본을 매개로 하여 행복감으로 가는 간접경로가 모두 유의하였다. 이에 본 연구결과에

대한 제한점과 후속연구를 논의하였다.

<Abstract>

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between there factors such as the

preparation for old age, happiness, and social capital of the baby boom generation. The

subjects of this study were 340 baby boom generation, mostly workers, retirees, self-employed

who were born between 1955 and 1963, in B-city and K-do. The results are as follows: First,

each correlation between preparation for old age, social capital, and happiness was significant.

Second, the social capital had a partial mediation effect on the relationship between preparation

for old age and happiness. That is, there are significant effects in both the direct path from

preparation for old age to happiness and the indirect path from preparation for old age to

happiness through social capital. Finally, the limitations of this study and directions for future

study are discussed.
