<요  약>

본 연구는 교사가 지각한 학교 내의 성범죄 발생요인을 탐색하고, 학교 성범죄 근절을 위한 개선방 

안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 서울시에 재직 중인 교사들 가운데 성범죄 사안을 처리해 본 경

험이 있는 교사들을 대상으로 심층면접을 실시한 후, Colaizzi의 질적 연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 본

연구결과에 의하면, 학교 내에 존재하는 교사들만의 특유한 문화와 학생 간의 문화가 성범죄의 발생

요인으로 나타났다. 무엇보다 교사문화는 첫째, 가부장적 가치관을 가진 사람이 관리자이거나 상급

교사인 경우 성범죄에 안전하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교무실의 순응적 서열주의 문화와 비

합리주의는 성범죄에 우호적인 문화로 나타났다. 셋째, 교사들의 승진을 위한 순응적 태도, 상명하

복의 태도 등은 성범죄에 친화적인 환경으로 드러났다. 학생문화는 대인관계, 성인식 및 교육, 그리

고, 학교 급별로 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 따라 학교는 성범죄 예방을 통한 안전한

학교문화와 정착을 위한 개선방안과 실효성 있는 교육정책을 마련하는 것이 매우 중요하다는 것을

보여 주었다.

<Abstract>

This study was performed to examine the occurrence factors of sexual offenses in school

recognized by teachers and search an improvement plan to eradicate sexual offenses in school.

According to this, the study conducted in-depth interview targeting teachers in Seoul who have

dealt with sexual offenses, analyzing them with Colaizzi’s qualitative research. As a result of the

research, the unique culture of teachers and the culture among students proved to be the

occurrence factors of sexual offenses in school. First of all, as for the culture of teachers, it is

not safe for sexual offenses to have a supervisor or a senior teacher with patriarchal values.

Second, pliable rankism and irrationalism in teachers’ room is favorable to sexual offenses.

Third, obedient attitudes of teachers for promotion and vertical culture of decision-making and

following make a friendly culture for sexual offenses. When it comes to a culture of students,

it varies depending on personal relationship, recognition and education of sex and school level.

The result of research proves that it is very important to make an improvement plan and a

realistic educational policy for a safe school culture through prevention of sexual offenses.
